The rules of the road.
A contract should be short, fair, and in plain English. This is ours.
1. Who this is for
These terms cover candidates using BisBig Jobs — the job board at jobs.bisbig.com and its subpaths. By creating an account, submitting an application, or publishing a candidate profile, you agree to these terms.
Employers posting roles agree to a separate Employer Agreement covering pricing, fair-use, and content obligations. That agreement is provided at the time of sign-up on the employer platform.
2. Who we are
BisBig Jobs is operated by Leafy Code International (Pvt) Ltd ("BisBig", "we", "us"), a company registered in Sri Lanka with its office at 2nd Floor, 269, 1 High Level Road, Pannipitiya 10230, Sri Lanka.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
- The information you give us — name, email, work history, portfolio content — must be accurate and yours to share.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for activity from your account.
- You can close your account at any time. Some records (closed applications, audit logs) survive deletion as set out in our privacy notice.
4. What you upload
You keep all rights to the content you submit — your CV, portfolio, application answers, the lot. By submitting it, you grant BisBig a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, display, and transmit that content for the sole purpose of running the service: showing your application to the employer you applied to, rendering your portfolio page, sending you status emails, and so on.
That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. Backups roll off in 30 days.
5. What you won't do
You agree not to:
- Submit information that's not yours — someone else's CV, a fabricated identity, a stolen portfolio.
- Apply on someone else's behalf without their explicit permission.
- Use the service to send spam, phish, or harvest contact details of other users.
- Upload anything illegal, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise tortious.
- Scrape, mirror, or build a derivative job board from our listings. Look at one, look at five, save searches if you like — but no bulk extraction.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or any other technical control.
6. What employers do — and don't
Hiring companies on BisBig commit to giving every applicant an outcome — yes or no — within a fortnight. That's the headline promise of the board.
We do not, however, guarantee any specific outcome. We don't verify the legal status of every role posted, and we are not party to your employment contract with any company you interview with. Read role descriptions carefully and do your own due diligence before accepting an offer.
If an employer breaches our fair-use rules (ghost listings, response-time violations, discrimination, unpaid wage games), tell us at hello@bisbig.com and we'll investigate. Persistent breaches result in removal.
7. Fees
BisBig Jobs is free for candidates. We charge employers to post roles. We will never charge you to apply, sign up, see status, or maintain a portfolio.
8. Our content
The site itself — the design, the code, the BisBig name and marks — belongs to Leafy Code International (Pvt) Ltd. You can link to public pages and share screenshots in good faith. Don't copy the site, the logo, or the underlying code.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep the site up but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, outages, and dependency failures happen. Status updates and post-mortems are published at status.bisbig.com.
10. Liability
BisBig is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, BisBig and Leafy Code International (Pvt) Ltd are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service — lost wages, missed offers, contract disputes with employers, and the like.
Our total liability for any direct losses is capped at the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months. For candidates that's zero, but the cap is there if and when we ever charge.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts the service at risk (spam, fraud, abusive content, mass scraping). Where possible we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
You can close your account whenever you like, from /me.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes that can't be sorted out by conversation are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo — unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country says otherwise.
13. Changes
We update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top is the source of truth. For material changes (anything that materially affects your rights), we'll email registered candidates at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the new version.
